Installation help.
Thirty to sixty minutes, a drill, a level, and a tape measure. Everything you need to know — and when to call a pro.
From box to mounted — the full sequence.
Two people, one afternoon. The video walks the full process: unbox, mark, drill, set anchors, mount the frame, slot the rungs, attach accessories, load-test.
Know your wall.
The single most important thing about a BenchK install is the wall itself. Get the substrate right, and the unit is rock-solid for decades. Get it wrong, and nothing else matters.
- Masonry / concreteIdeal. Use our PS8 or PS12 Fischer expansion plug hardware. Minimum 4.7" (12 cm) wall thickness.
- Stud-wall (2×4 or 2×6)Requires our WHB+S8 (black) or WHW+S8 (white) stud-wall holder, which distributes load across multiple studs.
- Plasterboard onlyNot supported. Sheetrock alone cannot hold the load.
What to have on hand.
- Power drill
- Masonry / wood bit (matched to your hardware)
- Spirit level (≥ 18")
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- 4 mm Allen key (included)
- Stud finder (for stud walls)
- Second set of hands (recommended)
The install.
- 01
Unbox and inventory
Confirm all components: frame, rungs, mounting plates, bracket hardware, Allen key, and wall-mount kit matched to your substrate.
- 02
Mark the mount points
Hold the mounting plates against the wall at the correct height. Use the level to confirm vertical alignment. Mark pilot-hole positions with pencil.
- 03
Drill pilot holes
Use the bit size specified for your expansion plugs or stud-wall holders. Depth matters — drill to the full expansion plug depth (typically 80 mm).
- 04
Set the expansion plugs or stud holders
Tap plugs into the wall flush. For stud walls, seat the holder plate against the wall with the provided lag screws.
- 05
Mount the frame
Align the BenchK mounting plates with the wall plugs/holders. Insert bolts, hand-tighten, then torque down evenly.
- 06
Attach the rungs and accessories
Slot each beech rung into place. Secure the pull-up bar, dip station, or bench as applicable. Verify with the level one more time.
- 07
Load test
Hang from the top rung with full body weight. Feel for any movement. If anything shifts, re-check the torque on the mounting plates.

When to call a pro.
We recommend professional installation when:
- You have a non-standard wall (brick-over-frame, plaster-on-lath, etc.)
- You’re commercial or high-traffic
- You’re installing multiple units
- You’d rather not, which is fine
We maintain a vetted installer network across most U.S. metros. Contact support with your zip code for a referral.
