Swedish ladder for kids, with rings and a rope swing.
Five BenchK sets add gymnastic rings and a rope swing to a Swedish ladder with beech rungs, and the ladder itself is rated for adults. BenchK's manuals rule out children under 3 and ask for an adult to supervise from 3 to 14. The rings and rope hold one person at a time, up to 176 lb (80 kg).

What is a Swedish ladder for kids?
The ladders in the kids’ sets are the same Series 1, 2 and 7 frames BenchK sells for adult training, and every one has the same rung spacing: a clear gap of 9¼ in (235 mm).
Five sets come with the rings and rope, from $1,139 to $1,195. If you already own a BenchK with a pull-up bar, the A204 kit sells on its own for $229.
Which Swedish ladder sets for kids does BenchK make?
Which set fits your ceiling?
A standard 8 ft (96 in) ceiling fits the Series 1 and Series 2 sets. The Series 7 sets need at least 98½ in (250 cm) from floor to ceiling.

| Frame | Ladder rated for | Set height | Min. ceiling height | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Series 1 · 111 + A204 | Solid beech | 265 lb (120 kg) | 86⅝ in (220 cm) | 90½ in (230 cm) | $1,155 |
| Series 2 · 211W + A204, 211B + A076 | Steel, white or black, beech rungs | 330 lb (150 kg) | 91 in (231 cm) | 94½ in (240 cm) | $1,139 |
| Series 7 · 711W + A204, 711B + A076 | Steel, white or black, beech rungs | 330 lb (150 kg) | 94⅛ in (239 cm) | 98½ in (250 cm) | $1,195 |
Every set includes the wooden pull-up bar, rated 265 lb (120 kg), and the rings and rope kit, rated 176 lb (80 kg) for one person at a time. Set heights are from the BenchK 100, 200 and 700 manuals. Wall hardware is sold separately.
Series 1 is all beech, frame included, and the narrowest at 25¼ in (64 cm). Series 2 and 7 frames are powder-coated steel in white or black, 26⅛ in wide. The white sets and the Series 1 set come with the light beech A204 kit; the black sets come with the oak-colored A076.
For a first ladder without the rings and rope, the Series 1 BenchK 100 costs $649. It has no pull-up bar, and the kit needs one to hang from. The BenchK 111 is the same ladder with the wooden pull-up bar for $929, and the A204 kit can hang from that bar later.

How do the rings and rope hang?
The kit has a pair of beech plywood gymnastic rings on adjustable straps and a cotton climbing rope that ends in a round wooden swing seat. Two carabiners come with it.
It hangs from the BenchK pull-up bar, never from the rungs. On the wooden bar that comes with every kids’ set, the ring straps thread through the bar’s side brackets and the rope’s knotted loop goes around its top rod. On a steel BenchK pull-up bar, the two carabiners clip under the bar and carry the ring straps.
The kit holds one person at a time, up to 176 lb (80 kg), and carries a 2-year warranty. A076 parts are oak-colored; A204 parts are natural light beech. The manual states that the kit meets the safety requirements of PN-EN 12346:2001 and PN-EN 913:2019-03. Read the A076 / A204 manual (PDF).
What age can a child start on a Swedish ladder?
At 3, with an adult supervising until 14. Every manual in a BenchK kids’ set prints the same rule: not for children under 3, and from 3 to 14 only under an adult’s supervision. One person uses the set at a time, and the manuals add these rules:
- Use an exercise mat or mattress, and leave enough space around the ladder.
- Check the ladder's and the bar's fasteners before each use.
- Before using the rings and rope, check that they hang correctly and both ring buckles are fastened.
- Never stand on the wooden swing seat.
- Never put your head between the ring straps.
- Never wrap the rope around any part of the body.
- Match the exercise to the child's health and condition, and avoid strenuous effort.
BenchK’s foldable gymnastic mat, three padded squares joined together, costs $299. For practice ideas, see gymnastics at home.
Will a child outgrow it?
The rings and rope carry one person up to 176 lb (80 kg). The ladder carries adults: Series 2 and 7 frames are rated for 330 lb (150 kg), the all-beech Series 1 for 265 lb (120 kg).
The wooden pull-up bar rests on any pair of rungs and lifts off by hand, so you choose the height the kit hangs from. A buckle on each ring strap sets the ring height. Take the kit off and the ladder is adult training equipment; a Series 2 or 7 frame also takes BenchK’s steel pull-up bars, the DB1 dip bar, the B1 bench and the punching-bag holder.
BenchK makes commercial gymnastics equipment that you can also install at home. Its product pages and manuals state that the wall bars meet PN-EN 12346:2001 and PN-EN 913:2019-03, and Praxis Pilates in New York and Harry’s Home Hotels in Austria (70 rooms) have them installed. Our Swedish ladder guide covers adult training.

How does a Swedish ladder mount to the wall?
It bolts to masonry or to wood studs, never to drywall alone. Every set ships with its frame assembly kit; the wall hardware is sold separately, because the right anchor depends on your wall. A brick or concrete wall at least 4.7 in (12 cm) thick takes BenchK’s Fischer expansion-plug kits: PS8 ($89) for Series 1 and 2, PS12 ($99) for Series 7.
A wood-stud wall needs a wall holder that spreads the load across the studs: WH1+S4 ($259) for Series 1, WHB+S8 or WHW+S8 ($289) for Series 2 and 7. The installation guide has the tools and steps.
